Alternative Energy

We are dependent on oil from the middle east, yet we seem to do nothing here at home to try and lessen our dependence.
If someone mentions an alternative source, the answer always seems to be ” That will take to long to accomplish”.
Imagine where we would be if we had started producing wind, solar , and alternative fuel for our cars.
